1910Mr. Dan Griggs and Mr. Browne open Griggs & Browne.
1930sA massive hurricane slams the East Coast. Technicians work around the clock helping residents eliminate infestations stemming from the lack of electricity.
1940sDuring World War II, Griggs & Browne recognized employees with loved ones overseas.
1960sOur “Pest of the Month” contest was a familiar sight on Allens Avenue. $20 went to the first person with a correct guess.
1970sA creative writing contest. A poetic housewife came up with the slogan we use to this day: “Without Griggs & Browne, the Whole Town Would Fall Down!”
1990sGlen Griggs’ son, Dan Griggs, joins the company and opens the Martha’s Vineyard/Nantucket office. Carpet, tile and upholstery cleaning services are added.
2000sDan Griggs becomes president. The company celebrates its 100th Anniversary.
April 19, 2023Dan Griggs passes away. Our hearts are broken but we will continue on in the Griggs tradition of safe, effective, environmentally sound practices. David Heal becomes President and Cindy Guerra becomes Vice President.
